if its not a ujoint it might be the lockout hub its self.if not a hub then check the drive shaft from the transfercase to the front end to see if the ujoints are bad

i got the new rings in today and the bottom end rebuilt. going to set the heads on tomarrow and get the engine set back down in the truck to. aww buy the way i didn't have to worrie the cylinders wern't egg shapped so i honed it out put the new rings in. thanks guys i tell you if it works or not...
i called him this morning and he told me just to go and put new bearings and new rings and give it a valve job to. you said that the 7.3 have sleaves? is there any way just buy chance that the cylinders are egg shaped can i get it trued up buy taking it to a machine shop with out hurting it.

over time if you turn it up intil it wont go no more you will wash the rings plum out of it after a while so it should be alright to turn it up some but not all the way

sounds like to me its air locked crack open the line on top the injectors like argve said and see if it gets any fuel to come out the top of the injector and if it does go through and do every one to get all the air out of the system. would do one at a time but you can do four two these guys...
well i a want the truck for is to shove snow. i have a a 7.3 idi turbo diesel that you see in the pic and i also have a 96 powerstoke that i'am building to pull. but i just was wanting to know some things about a 6.9? if i can count on it like i can on my 7.3
it has a good bit of blowby but not a hole bunch. but it sounds like the compression is gone. it sounds like a two cylinder john deere out the exsaust. i'am just wondering if i should go ahead and order a rebuild kit for it monday
