Oem for sure. At my local Ford dealer the other day & asked for a quote on new batteries for my '92 idi. Mine are 7 years old. He said $145 & $16 back when I bring in the old ones. I told him to load 'em up. 3 year warranty Motorcraft. Bought new Michelen's (sp?) for my f-150 there, too. Free...
I used to get a ton of gravel & shovel it to the front of the bed. Level with the sides. It would freeze in (N. Iowa) & come spring thaw, I'd go around & fill holes in the neighbors driveways.
I used to haul fuel for Amoco & others. #2 will start showing wax at 40 to 45 degrees F. I've never seen wax in # 1. It may be possible, though. I use Power Service in my '92 idi. Our co-op blends 30% #1 down to about 0 then they'll blend 50/50.
I dropped a cylinder (quit firing) in my 250 Cummins, back in the 70's. I was hauling swinging meat, no time to stop at some shop. 4 qts. of atf in each tank & that injector came back to life in about 30 miles. 'Course that was a long time ago, but it worked then.
Paid $2600 from a dealer last summer. What I got was a very well cared for 1992 2wd f-250 idi, regular cab, w/159000 mi. A county owned truck. What county keeps vehicles 22 years? Little rust on rear fenders I repaired myself.
PS- Wife loves it!
Looks just like mine, except mine is the Custom model. Cheapy but it does have working air. Cardinal red it's called. I'm going to paint mine IH red next summer. After I paint the house, says the wife. My 8 yr. old grand daughter asked. "what's this?" She had never seen hand crank windows...
Picked up a load of patio block. One pallet weighed right at 5000lbs. Had them shove it up in the front of the box & drove home at 60+. 92 F-250 2wd. HD
I don't know about now, but a week or two ago, there was no #1 in the system. I'm in N. central Iowa. This was at the pipeline in Clear Lake. I doctored the heck out of mine. -12 tonite.
Mine took a couple of minutes today . About 50 degrees in the garage. Says they work from 50 up. Finally setteled out (the nitrate) into a 'good' color. Just seemed to take longer than normal.
Back in the early 70' we had a 12v in a crackerbox GMC. This was in the Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune. It was used for transporting landing craft & other BIG heavy stuff.
As an old fuel hauler & new member, I know #2 fuel oil is the same as diesel with few or no additives. #1 is thinner & I would not use it straight unless it is really necessary. (super cold, below zero). We seldom ran over a 50-50 blend. My location is N. Central Iowa. Bitter cold @ times & near...
