    its a standard cab. I picked up a 91 f-150 cab with no rust, good doors, good glass, and a nice interior. for $400 bucks. im just going to swap out the dash and wiring harness. I have nothing but time with this project.

    I do know that a alternator does turn on and off rapidly. But that gage should not pick up on that.

    I got the alternator tested and it failed. also the bearings where screaming. Both battery's load tested good with good voltage. Working fine.

    Bad grounds on the gauges or the alternator. I have a wire on my alternator that goes right to the negative post.

    1990 f-250 New Fuel Tanks and lines question?

    I just put in two new tanks and lines. Im going to put on a new fuel filter fill it with diesel and try to get it to start. How do you get rid of all the air in the fuel lines. I know that there is a bycicle valve on the seperator that you can purge air with.

    Fuel line Replacment

    So i am going to run new steel fuel lines. I have to run small peices of ruber beween the steel lines and the sending units, fuel selector. What would you guys do, flair the line put a barb fitting on it or just slide it over and clamp it?

    When i got mine it was like that also so i replaced the master. and that helped some. Then i Hered a air leak when the brakes where applied so after investigation the brake booser was bad. got a new one from autozone and now it stops better than ever.

    Removal of frame rivets?

    What is the best way to remove rivets from the frame i am replacing front leaf spring mounts. and we have saw different ideas like cutting the heads of with a torch, Grinding them off, Cutting a X into them and hitting them with a air hammer. Whats the best way you guys know of?:D:D

    7.3 Fuel Lines/ Stalling while driveing

    It is the mid ship tank that it is ran on, the rear leaks a lot. So when doing new tanks and lines would you recommend getting new sending units? Both gauges work well but i don't know if there is a filter inside of the sending unit, that needs to be replaced.
