The auction ended with no buyers, so I guess no one was "willing to pay". To me my idi's are worth a lot more than the market as well. BUT I vehicle is worth the market price. Just because some idiot some where decides to put a ridiculous price on his doesnt make it worth any more.
no offence but you guys are crazy! I own 3 of these trucks right now. None of them have any of the issues you guys are so expertly fixing. No bends, no rust no broken supports. Whats my secret? I live in Arizona. And mine arnt special, they are a dime a dozen. If I were you I would have sold...
I dont think you have ever owned one. The turbo is very slow to spool up, and mine never got more than 15 mpg on the Hwy. My idi making the same run every week gets 22mpg. 6.0 can be a good engine but you will need to invest about 4K to fix all the issues.
so, I cut the pulley off with a grinder and bought a new one. $22.00 on ebay. The problem is the shaft on my pump must be ground down some. The new pulley slides on very easy, and even has some play in it. What the last guys did was stick the bolt in to hold the pulley on, but because of the...
I dont have a camera here at work to take a pic, but on my f350 there is a 9/16 bolt threaded into the vacuum pump, presumably to hold the pulley onto the shaft. My pulley has taken to wobbling and today threw the belt (at which point I had no brakes, but that is a different story). I took the...
What you say may be true, BUT my shop used to be next to a mechanic. He had a guy come in there regularly, that had a 95 6 door truck. It basically looked like a crew cab with an extra back potion grafted on to it. It also had a long bed. I talked to him at length, and he swears he ordered it...
What I have found is Ford built or commissioned a whole bunch of stuff that was never very official. The crew cab is called a centurion edition which was a company that made 4 door broncos for awhile. So maybe they ordered these with a crew cab on a short chassis. Who knows? I did call my son...
The bed that came off of it was shorter than the bed on the extra cab, and the two trucks pictured have the same wheel base. Not sure what constitutes a "short Bed".
Here are pics of the two trucks I measured. As I mentioned it is hard to see that the flat bed was a short bed, with the long flatbed on it. BUT the wheel base is exactly 156" or 13 ft on both trucks.
Ok guys you got me curious. SO I went out and measured the wheel base of my xtra cab. 156" I called my son and had him measure the wheel base of the crew cab. He says 155". I think it is just the difference in reading the tapes. When I got the crew cab, i Lined the two trucks up, and they wheels...
"could we see a Pic of it"
2 problems, It is at the house, (Im at work), and it has a flat bed at the moment so kinda hard top see it is a short bed. I will try to get a pic in the next couple of days. If I can Ill take 2 pics with it lined up next to one of my ex-cabs. Frame to frame it is...
You might look at the exhaust as well. I bought a truck that someone had stuck 1 3/4 pipe on the exhaust with a small gas muffler and it had real high egt's that would get up there quick. I replaced the exhaust with 3" and a banks diesel muffler and my egt's dropped 300 degrees for the same speed.
Fix the down pipe on the 94. Clean out the engine with Auto RX, have the timing set properly and my guess is you will think it is a new truck. 277k is not a lot for these motors, unless it was abused pretty bad before you got it. Van
Thought I was done for awhile. Then I got in the Wheeler to run to town yesterday. And no Cruise control. So gotta tear into that and figure out what went wrong. Always something I guess.
That truck is a big piece of junk. You should definatly go out and buy a new truck.
And right before you do, SELL THAT ONE TO ME:sly
Your getting good advice, for A LOT les than a new truck, you can have yours outperforming any of the trucks you listed.
You would have to upgrade to a...
