Which year IDI blocks will a C-6 mate up to?
I have an 1986 6.9 that's blown and am looking for a used engine and am thinking about going with an IDI 7.3. I found one out of a 93 that was mated to a manual transmission but can't seem to find an answer if a c-6 will mate up to it. I would assume the back of the 6.9 and 7.3 were all the same...- blackflag

6.9 head repair
One of the pre-cups came loose from the head and damaged the deck of the block, put about a quarter of an inch, half moon impression in it. Is it possible to repair the head and what kind of work can be done to the heads so none of the other pre-cups come loose? I realize it's probably a fairly...- blackflag

Turbo not spooling?
My apologies if I'm not using the correct terminology but my turbo doesn't seem to be working at all. I've got a boost gauge and the needle stays at zero boost all through the driving range. Ignition switch problem or is it electrical?
My truck (86 F-350 w/ 6.9) will not restart after running it for a while such as for an hour or so. Now, I'm aware of the IP injector maybe going bad and having to pour water on it to cool it down to get it to start but I don't think that's the issue. Instead, I wonder if it's something...- blackflag

Gear indicator on steering column not moving
As the title says, the gear indicator on my steering column doesn't move when I select a gear. The tranny goes into the selected gear fine and shifts properly throughout it's driving range, just wont indicate what gear I'm in, it never leaves the "Park" location.
