Thank the lord mud tires dont have the grip of all-terrain's or street tires or the body may have separated from the frame long ago. There is a guy driving around west nashville with a 4" lifted 2wd 87 gmc c-15. He was brazen enough to tell me my 4" lifted chevy k10 was a pos. At least I can...
The thing with r-12 is that there just isnt demand for it in nearly as many applications as there once was. I do appliance work and it used to be awesome to have a bottle of "liquid gold." I still have access to it, but I haven't needed it in at least 5 years. '95 they changed to 134a so...

15* would defeat the whole purpose of the A/C. The evap coil has to be warm enough to not to freeze up and prevent airflow through the coil but cool enough to cause the moisture in the air to condense on the coil, thereby lowering the humidity of the conditioned air. 15* would make a block of...
Why is he gunning the darn thing. It looks like he going from no to full throttle without even trying to ease into it. I have yet to need 4wd to get my boat (17ft bayliner) out with mud tires that absolutely SUCK in any kind of water, but I do use 4lo with the hub unlocked so I can apply...
Thank ya'll so much for you're replies. I tried to search but couldn't come up with any figures/examples except when people started losing mileage or in some sigs.
Thank you for your time.
It's weird here, if you go just the speed limit, they ride your tailgate, but go 2-3 mph under the speed limit and they pass you before even being on your butt. That is, unless we're talking about the a-hole in the dodge 1500 on ten mile bridge rd today. Or the a-hole in the d-max on west loop...
I'm not too worried about 'affording it' as I drive my work van home and dont pay the fuel for that. My current truck is 1/2 ton and gets somewhere between 8-10 on the highway and probably doesn't get driven 1000 miles a year. This would be driven more, but mostly highway.
I have searched but not found much on mileage info. I really, really want an idi.
I'm looking at a 94 crewcab with zf5 and turbo or 85 reg cab na/t-19.
Rears are unknown on the trucks, but wanted some info on mileage. Won't be doing much towing, just running down the highway mostly. I drive...
What you need to look at is max load. You will see a lot of variance between the lettered load indicators. Pro-comp xat's are a great tire. We had a set on a 02 chevy 2500 and still had a good bit of tread after about 40,000 when we sold the truck. 37's on 17's max load is 3525 but only...
On the front page, 6.9 & 7.3 idi, under forum tools select 'start new thread' and post the question so that it will show up as a new thread instead of being buried in this one. You will get more attention to your question that way.
The electric pressure washers work okay for that kinda thing and dont cost near what a full blown pw does. Wont do driveways and has limitations, but worked pretty good on wifeys caravan before I rebuilt it.
Throw it out of the toolbox too! I do appliance repair and see plenty of plugged water valves and fittings plugged do to the stuff. Now I only use potable water approved sealant. No tape never!
Get 2 hammers and smack both sides of knuckle at same time. My dad watched me trying to get a ball joint out of my k10 and then started laughing. I had the press as tight as I could get it after soaking it for 2 days with everything I could get my hands on and was hitting knuckle with a 2 or 3...
It would almost be worth the $35 to take that thing to inspection here in texas jsut to see the "inspector" shake his head and say something like "I just don't know where to start, but it's gonna fail anyway"
Why bother with classes or qualifications on trailer towing? You can get all you need on the internet. Besides, if people knew what was proper and safe, my son wouldn't get to ask what "tail wagging the dog" means when we're travelling. Ahhh, teachable moments with your six-year-old...
'81 Camaro, 4spd manual My dad made me go up and down the lane at the farm in first gear using the throttle to hold the rear between the coast and drive sides of the ring gear before I was allowed on the road. Then took me out on country roads in rural Ohio at night turning on and off the...
Nobody paid any attention to Towcat's post about turbo efficiency. ATS/Banks/Hypermax get out of their efficiency and start heating the air more which negates anything that would gained by higher boost levels. Heath I think had dyno numbers which proved it.
You could also try 2-stroke/gasoline mix in spray bottle-it's what we use to diagnose chainsaw fuel issues. At least this would retain some lubrication.
