    Runaway 6.9 Full Pull

I am pretty sure it is making a lot more power... hp=rpm*torque/5252. If the rpms go way up and the torque just doesn't drop like a brick (which I doubt it did bc it keeps pulling the sled) you are physically going to make more hp. I don't think the rpms got quite that high either....I just...

    Runaway 6.9 Full Pull

I just don't get how it can suck that much oil and make that much more power than the duramaxs in the vid. I would venture those duramaxs were 500+ hp and he put some pretty good distance on them. Granted there is more to pulling than just hp, but when he can barely even get it to pull the sled...

    Runaway 6.9 Full Pull

Not sure if this has been posted here before, but how in the world can a N/A idi (i assume it is from the dual exhaust) make that much more power from running on its own oil (That is compared to the duramax it pulled against)? I always thought you start to "huff" out the flame when you get...

    Injector Thread Size

So you are saying the thread is 12mm x 1.5mm? Hmmm i thought it would probably be English Units. That pop tester you got to use is pretty sweet too. Thanks Adam

    Injector Thread Size

What is the thread size on the injector where it meets the compression fitting from the injection lines? Thanks Adam

    C6 3-->2 downshift mph?

Truck doesn't downshift from 3-->2 until I get to about 15 mph (which is about where it shifts from 1-->2 on up shifts). Tranny started doing this after it was rebuilt, but before it did it at about 25 mph. Is this a valvebody adjustment that can be done, or is that the normal downshift speed...

    White Smoke...timing?

Fixed it...pump actually turned back a little from where I originally set it. Also passed emissions :D Thanks for all the help, much appreciated! Adam

    White Smoke...timing?

I replaced the IP...never removed the IP gear cover housing so I don't think its the gear teeth being misaligned. I do not have a meter, but I already moved it about a dimes width (thin dimension) towards the passenger side past the timing mark on the gear cover housing...that is about where the...

    White Smoke...timing?

Got my truck put back together....new fuel lines, cleaned both tanks, new IP, and cleaned all the injectors. Truck is the 89 in my sig. First time a really got the truck warmed up to go take it through emissions and once warm it started smoking white. The more rpm the more smoke. There is...

    Fuel return line siphoning fuel?

Gotcha...makes sense and thanks for the reply Adam

    Fuel return line siphoning fuel?

I actually had to pull the entire fuel system bc the fuel gelled in it and ruined the injection pump...stuck in all the lines and tanks too. Cleaned the tanks, injectors, fuel tank selector valve, and installed all new lines from tank to lift pump (installed new IP too). The IP supply lines were...

    Fuel return line siphoning fuel?

Is it possible if there is a pin hole somewhere in the supply line (post fuel pump) for the return line to siphon the fuel out of the fuel filter (since there is about a 2 foot drop back to the tank) via the line that runs directly into the return system. The one I am referring to is the one...

    Fuel Line Sizing?

What is the hose size for both the suction and return fuel lines? Had to clean the entire fuel system because of gelled fuel and going to put some new fuel lines back in instead of the factor ones. Thanks Adam

    Copper Injector Washer Differences?

Are there any differences to the copper washers between different coded injectors. Thickness/ID/OD all the same? Thanks Adam

    89' No Fuel To Injectors

Picture of Pump Internals Well...pulled the truck in 3rd gear at about 40 mph for at least 2 miles...and nothing. Just a very very small hint of white smoke. Pulled the top cover on the pump and looked at it a little closer... Notice all the material around the sprung linkage. Tried...

    89' No Fuel To Injectors

Thanks for the replies. Mel I have had the injection lines removed at the injectors and still no fuel when cranking. Truck is a 5 speed so I may try pulling it before taking the pump off. icanfixall...thanks for the tip. Thanks Adam

    89' No Fuel To Injectors

Pulled the top of the pump off and it is full of fuel. Also have fuel coming out the pump to the tank return line. Sound like something inside the pump is stuck closed?

    89' No Fuel To Injectors

It is regular diesel fuel with Diesel Kleen additive in it. Injection pump probably has around 20-25K miles on it...same as injectors. It hasn't gotten any fuel coming out of the injection lines and I have cranked it over for a pretty long time. I even pulled the 12Vdc off from the return...

    89' No Fuel To Injectors

For some reason I am unable to get any fuel to the injectors. Have all of lines loose at the injectors. Verified the following... 1. Fuel pump was indeed pushing fuel through the injection pump and out the top of the IP to the tank return. 2. Fuel shut off solenoid was working Is it...

P-7100 - 160hp pump (Auto Trans) vs 215 pump (Manual Trans)

The 215 pumps have different plungers than the 160 pumps. When the rack travels forward in the pump it will turn the plunger causing it to take more lift to stop fuel from going out the spill port. Here is a picture of the different plungers. THe last one is the 215 plunger and the notch on the...

    Overhead Adjustment Intervals

Agreed... anywhere between 25K to 30K is the adjustment As for the timing I would recommend bumping it some. This will net you better fuel milage and a little more performance. Adam
