F700 Hood Latch Handle ?
I’m not 100%sure, but I think he is talking the lever you reach through the grille to move the safety latch, so you can open the hood. I know on some older F-6/7/800 they had a normal hood and fenders like a pickup, and some had the tilt forward doghouse…- snicklas

Best place to buy pyrometer in a hurry?
Agreed, I would look for something that deals with big trucks… not automotive… Here in Indy we have a place called TruckPro… Think NAPA, or AutoZone, but for big trucks…. Ours is near a huge truck stop and several truck dealers….- snicklas

7.3 idi swap for 7.3 turbostroke
Not really a fair comparison….. It is recommended to change the IP and Injectors on an IDI at the same time, since they all wear at as similar rate… A quick look at CDD and R&D, a stock pump and injectors are $1400-1500 I’m not sure on 7.3 injectors, but I know on stock, from Ford 6.0...- snicklas

circular base flange at end of exhaust?
Funny question, but what color was the truck, was it red or yellow, by chance? What my first though went to, was the “tip” placed on exhaust systems of fire apratus, that the exhaust vent system connects to. Most fire houses have an exhaust control system in them. Editing has a finite window. Not sure the length, but edit and delete is only available for a limited time (except for a mod/admin). One thing to keep in mind, is the 6.0 Turbo sits at an angle with the cold intake side pointing toward the drivers front. It sits just about where the intake hole is on an IDI…- snicklas

Yes, The Group size is an identification of a particular battery. Length, width, height, and maybe post type/location. All ford trucks have house Group 65 for aa really long time. I’m not sure when Ford started putting the E4OD behind the IDI in the Vans. I don’t think they waited until 92 when they changed the body style…. I think the 74-91 body got them late in the run. One issue with the Motorcraft brand filters is, during COVID, the manufacturer that made all the Motorcraft filter closed. So they were very hard to get for a while. By now, a new source has been found, but I bet they are still behind. My Walmart stocks a decent selection of Motorcraft...- snicklas

We have seen this on E4OD trucks…. The TECA passes a small amount of current through the brake light circuit. It can be enough to light LED bulbs…. Just a thought….- snicklas

They will all interchange. The bull has a different fender shape than the brick/OBS. In 96/97 they added a crease down by the rocker. Front window/ wing window shape is different between all 3.
