What are all of you doing for a spare tire holder , when you put bigger tires on your truck. Anything larger than stock doesnt fit and the tire laying in the bed takes up too much space

i want to buy a rack that fits on my roof for some lights and throw my spare 37 up top. Dunno how the roof channels are gonna take to the weight though,.

I noticed lumber racks aren't very popular outside of kali. my 33x12.5x16.5 resided on top of the overhead rack portion of my truck. got 15mpg driving a lifted truck with crap packed all over it.;Sweet

Probably not a big help, I have a very understanding brother and a cell phone. Taking up the bed space on long trips.

Brad, you could get the old style mounts from the Gen 7 trucks that mount the tire upright against the inside of the bed....

i like the lumberrack/ roof rack idea and was going to do it but a lumber rack is useless to me because itd be full or crap i dont need and would wind up with hooks to hold everything then something would get stolen
but i am planning a roof rack that will mount on the headache rack and drip channels for extra space

I don't carry a spare with me. If I got out of town and have my Camper.. I throw it in the camper. Managing a towing company has some benefits, i'd just have somebody haul it into town or wherever.

Here is what I made for mine. I sized it for a 315-75/16 tire. It works well enough. Minimal loss of bed space and it's not loose/moving around.

Here you can see it in place.

It doesn't interfere with the gooseneck at all. I know it's not for everyone but it's been working for me. Hope this helps you with your decision.
