my buddy has a 1995 ford f350 and he is having very long crank times anytime he starts his truck. Even if we started it, let it run then shut it off after a couple of minutes if we tried to restart it it would still take a long crank time for it to start. While cranking there is no smoke out the exhaust.

I would first pull the allen head plug on the top of the high pressure oil reservoir, and see if the oil level is way down. It normally should be within an inch of the top of the res, even after sitting for a long time. If its down, it would indicate a hi pressure oil system leak somewhere, and thus requiring a bunch of cranking to replenish the res, before it starts.

It could be other things to....but I would check there first.

After looking at it closer I found the oil is entering the fuel tank (also draining the crankcase in the process). From what i understand this is a common symptom of bad injector orings. Is there anything else that can cause this as well?
