Good morning guys, I’ve got a problem here that needs some serious expertise. I’ve got a 93 F250 7.3 idi factory turbo. My normal oil consumption has been about a gallon every 5,000 miles for the last few years. About 2 months ago I deleted the CDR and rigged up a RDT in the grommet and just plugged the hole in the filter housing where the CDR vented to. Immediately I realized my oil consumption had increased. I’ve been keeping an eye on it and in average I’m adding 2-3 quarts every 500 miles. Valve covers have always leaked since I’ve had it, but today on further investigation I saw my valley pan had a large amount of oil in it. Is all this related to the CDR delete? Just coincidence? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
ps. By the way, before I deleted the CDR I would have a good bit of oil at the compressor inlet on the turbo. Since the delete, it stays pretty clean.
