New 7.3 IDI Turbo owner with a small issue

I picked up my 94’ crew cab for a what I think was a good deal at $2900. It has 229,000 miles and Looks like it was taken good care of mechanically. The only issue I’m having right now is a small miss at idle that seems to be after it warms up for a few that you notice it. It is still responsive and doesn’t miss when driving it. After it idles for a minute or so it will smoke white smoke and have that small miss. I’m not sure of the injector pump/ injectors last replacement, but they have been replaced in the life of the truck, the injection pump has a mid west pump sticker on it. It was leaking fuel from the return lines, but I replaced it with the return kit and no leaks whatsoever. It cranks nice and even and oil and antifreeze are both clean. I’m a mechanic, but haven’t played with diesels a whole lot. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome Shane! Likely your timing is too retarded. Loosen the three nuts holding the injection pump to the timing housing and rotate the pump towards the passenger side a dimes width and see if it improves
