This was a start to finish type of post and it was extremely well documented with pics - it was either a e250 or e350 build and he did all cabinet building and laminating
For some reason, many months ago and I think it was on this forum, I saw a Ford Sportsmobile van build by a guy who built and laminated his own cabinets and it was very well documented with pics, etc. Can anyone direct me to this build, ring a bell?
My new to me rebuilt trans is getting a DieselSite trans filter setup along with an aux trans cooler with a thermal valve so that in super hot climes it will open and keep trans nice and cool. The filter is mounted on the return line so it will pickup any debris that may be trapped in the...
Thanks, so it sounds like this type of filter setup allows for full flow and if filter becomes clogged enough, the built in bypass will allow fluid to keep traveling through the lube circuit, thanks!
I have a inline unit just installed by the indie with magnet but wanted him to swap out with a B&M unit with a spin on filter in the return line so that I can cut open to examine after five thousand miles or so - My factory cooler was flushed and not used - I am going to go ahead and use a...
Great, thats what I was looking for . . . . at, this point, Im going to keep moving forward and replace the MC as I already have a new one in the box, rear adjusters adjusted, new rear wheel cylinders, brake system bled, new abs hydraulic unit . . its got to be either the MC or the booster -
Exactly! I feel confident that as long as we do a good flush of the factory trans cooler circuit, I am not going to worry about it - I will most likely add a spin on cartridge and after five thousand miles, change it but will cut it open to examine the filter for debris . . I am guessing that I...
Yep, failed to mention I did this - had drums pulled, adjusters were not frozen but they cleaned and readjusted anyway - I was originally hoping for this scenario
No, keeping the stock filter naturally, I was talking about pulling the external filter he added and upgrading to a spin on type -thanks for your thoughts
So my indie, a qualified shop, after a thorough bleed determined that my abs hydraulic unit was at fault for slow sinking pedal. He replaced unit and it still feels the same to me. I am at a disadvantage as I do not know Ford, been working on MBdiesels for a long time. After a discussion, he did...
Old trans lost all transmission of power to wheels, no debris in pan, no catastrophioc noise, - it had 160,000 - I remain curious as it had zero movement in any gear. I think I am going to have indie pull his installed trans filter, add a quality spin on filter so I can use factory trans...
Just had my trans replaced finally and I thought I had an understanding with my indie to use the factory trans cooler plus an aux cooler after a thorough cleaning of the factory trans cooler. What he did was bypass my factory cooler and install a tiny (7x9) auxillary cooler. He explained that...
My e350 van has rusty rain gutters, everywhere else fine. I have used POR products before and have product to use up. I think I will scrape, degrease, etch, POR putty (epoxy putty) and then seal with POR 15, then use their self etching primer so I can paint over gutters with conventional paint ...
