She lives! New fuel filter did the trick. Had to put it in dry because I spilled all the diesel in the old one (oops). There was a bit of cranking to fill it back up but shes running great now. Thinking back on it I can tell you that last filter was AT LEAST 25,000 miles old. What's the...- VincentVega

Honestly I have no idea how old the fuel filter is. I had my buddy turn it over while i was watching in the engine bay and the fuel filter/water separator is leaking on the passenger valve cover gasket so I'm definitly getting a new one of those. I'll drop that on and then try cracking the lines...- VincentVega

Truck ran great for 400+ miles yesterday and now won't start
1989 7.3 idi Turbo. As the title says, the truck ran great for 400+ miles yesterday empty and loaded hauling a car from TN to AL. Went out this morning and boom. Won't start. I can smell cold diesel after it cranks for a bit, Fuel Shut off Solenoid clicks when I unplug and plug it back in, truck...- VincentVega

Door panel options?
After I graduated high school my grandfather gifted me his 89 F350 as a congratulations gift. It's my dream truck. As you can see in the picture, 4 door long bed, XLT Lariat, 7.3 Turbo Diesel. Alright gentlemen. Recently bought new tires for the truck. 255/85/r16 Toyo M/T. Super aggressive and exactly what I wanted. Heres the update: A buddy and I went out to poke around on the truck together last night. It was doing the same thing with no WTS light and no start. I pulled the single wire at the top of the starter solenoid relay, plugged it back in and boom. Runs perfect. Glow plugs are back to operating...- VincentVega

Wiring schematics would be super straight. How long can I run with the fuel shut off jumped with a hot wire? This truck is for real my only mode of transportation. Also, any idea about the WTS light?- VincentVega

Air Conditioning Needs Fixed
@DrCharles... um yes, absolutely! Actually, I have no clue whats going on inside AC systems (obviously). I just know that they're a gift from God. So I had no clue I was suppose to do that. I'll pressurized the system and look for leaks with some soap. What am I looking for with the dryer? Like...- VincentVega

Air Conditioning Needs Fixed
So it turns out that I had a bit of a dunce moment. I tried to jump the low pressure sensor with the system set to off. If I select AC and then jump the low pressure sensor the clutch engages. So now its time to move onto finding leaks and then charging the system, correct?- VincentVega
