Gauge problems
Feeling kinda dumb for not checking the damned fuses That’s all it was. Thought the gauges would just go to 0 if the fuse popped, but I guess not most of them just freeze where they were.- Powerstrokin350

Just realized on my way home from work, V gauge dead, fuel, oil and temp are actually frozen at whatever they were at when the problem started, so I’m guessing fuse as soon as I can test.- Powerstrokin350

Gauge problems
Been awhile since I’ve been here, . My current problem is my tach, volt and fuel gauges quit. Fuel is stuck just under 3/4 no matter which tank I select and volt and tach don’t move at all. Could this be a ground problem or a fuse?- Powerstrokin350

Where to get (if still possible?) these parts new?
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some reasonably priced ones on eBay or Amazon, can’t remember which. Just replaced my Radiator, water pump and thermostat and was contemplating replacing the tank also but didn’t. $ is getting tight.- Powerstrokin350

2003 7.3 Surges and dies.
Ok, know it’s been awhile. Replaced the valve cover gaskets and wire harnesses, seems to have improved this problem but not completely. Still will occasionally die or stutter. Thinking of a dealership CPS and maybe the throttle position sensor?- Powerstrokin350

I think I may have found the problem but waiting on the parts, was probing around the other night and when I touched the drivers side injector harness going into the valve cover, the insulation on the red wire just kind of crumbled off. This thing is stumping me. Just replaced the CPS after last weekend replacing the IPR and IPS. It was running rough and could die after it warmed up. Extended Idle Time.....
High idle is definitely better than low idle for longer periods. At low idle you do get more blowby because the combustion temps are usually a little low and won’t seal the rings as good. ZF-5 Problems
Thanks @79jasper good thinking it does have 280,000 on the truck, so who knows, I’m guessing the tranny was never rebuilt. I was just looking for advice and maybe someone had this problem before. Thanks again.- Powerstrokin350

Glow plug relay question
Don’t use ether if you don’t have to. Use wd-40 it won’t wash the oil from your cylinder walls.- Powerstrokin350
