    Stp 15w40

Ill buy what ever is cheapest. My LuLuBelle leaks 15W40 so much, I told the boss I was seal coating the parking lot. And just like a VW bug: it marks its spot. I can usually run 600 miles before she leaks 1 quart. No blowby, but it does produce a vacuum at idle

    gas station diesel

Our lodge has fund raisers every year. Guess who keeps the used canola oil??? I mix it one gallon per fill up. So far so good. Cant complain about the odor, either. Been working on the front suspension, one piece at a time. Last 2 pieces are the Pitman arm and the drag link.

Can vegetable oil be mixed with diesel and or wmo?

I use 1/2 gallon of used canola oil in my '89, and thus far no problems. my belief is that it may help lubricate the IP. Im just real careful during winter; then I use Butchs with the canola oil. Ill let you know if I have problems later.

Got a strange problem with my starter

Some times there is green corrosion built up under the battery cable insulation. Peel it back about 1 foot from the batter. My cables and connectors looked good but the starter was too slow. Replaced the battery cables with welding cables and no prob.

    89 7.3 IDI sluggish

I've had to blow back my '89 due to obstructions. My clutch fan mostly doesn't release, either hot or cold so I have a hard time keeping heat for good ignition. Sooooooo, I block off the air to the radiator and then take LuLuBelle for a good high speed drive to the ranch 38 miles away. She...

CIB I took your advice!! IT WORKED!!! I'm repairing/replacing things on LuLuBelle one paycheck at a time, the showerheads are getting replaced. Since we are in the middle of the oilfields- hot vatting the tanks is no big problem. Eventually, Ill have new glow plugs, a...

    THIS is getting old!

Ok here's the skinny on Ol' LuLuBelle when I changed out her fuel selector valve. When pulling out of the rear tank: NO PROBLEM! When pulling out of the front tank it surges like its starved for fuel!!I filled up both tanks. I tried to run the truck on the front tank: No dice! I think I may...

    Stereo help please

LuLuBelle, my '89 F-250 decided that the am/fm player in the dash would quit working. Can anyone tell me where I can find a Am/FM stereo , with maybe a blue tooth or CD player? What brand? Will I need an adaptor kit? How difficult is it? Will my son finally get a drivers license. Will my...

    Answer me this

OK, its off to Oreilly to get a fresh airfilter. I can say that adding canola oil to the fuel seems to help the tired old thing. I added a home made air airtube to help ingest some 103 degree west Texas air........Ive still got a ratting noise when the engine is running, and the clutch is not...

    Answer me this

I started up ol' LuLuBelle yesterday when it was a balmy 98 degrees. I thought I would check the blowby, so i unscrewed the oilfiller cap. I then placed a rubber glove over the opening, and LO AND BEHOLD: the vacuum almost sucked the glove into the crankcase/oilfiller tube. My question is...
