So this has always made me mad. In Virginia, and other states, I can hook up to a trailer with my passenger car or even SUV, and it is completely legal so long as the trailer and vehicle does not exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations. OLD BLUE, I understand. Based on the definition of interstate commerce, so long as you are hauling your own stuff (and not for your business, etc.) no CDL is required under 26,001 pounds. Besides there isn't even a CDL license for under 26,001 pounds except for hazmat or hauling 16 or more...- MeanGreen

Pele, I'm in VA also. Your county was more than willing to take your check for the personal property tax bill for the last few years, I'm sure. Tell them, you'll move it out of the county if they refund your property tax for the last x-number of years.......if it was illegal to have it housed...- MeanGreen

As for the *******-child truck....yeah, someone tried to convert a 2wd to a 4wd with a D50....and judging by the welds, I see why they gave up. Sorry about the oil pan.... The parts are located near SouthBoston VA, about an hour south of Lynchburg. The truck is a 93, but I don't know which tranny it is. Well, I bought a new truck
Yeah, the fuel mileage is bad but so is the new diesel. I won't be towing so it doesn't make much difference. I did the math on how much I drive a year......I won't starve.....I hope! Jerry- MeanGreen

New Truck.... what to do, what to do
Have you test drove the new F150 yet? The reason I ask is because I was on the fence between a 150 supercrew and a F250 crewcab. I went with the 250. The 150 have some very very uncomfortable headrests in my opinion. I'm 6'3 so it may be different for others. But yeah that FX4 package had me...- MeanGreen
