Is my lift pump dying?
When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? When my son's lift pump when out on his 99 it was when he was changing his fuel filter. It was running fine till he changed the fuel filter and could not get it primed. Lift pump would run but it was not moving any fuel.- lschultz

Conclusion: So you actually did not accomplish nothing? You do not know what the code was? I am :confused: I did not know the Vet changed oil and fuel filters. Maybe you had a dirty fuel filter. How many miles were on this fuel filter? Herb you need to get your mind off this short woman...- lschultz

Herb did you not learn your lession the first time with women? Or is it the woman or you? I assume up yonder where you are at that it is cold. When you went to start it did you let your grid heater light go out you know the ~ symbol. These you puter controlled ones might have something in there...- lschultz

Squeal at shutoff??
Auto or manual trans ? It is a characteristic of the mighty Cummins don't worry about it. The ones with a auto trans or more prone to it. You got some big parts coming to a abrut stop and you will get the belt chirp.- lschultz

Brake Dust on new rims
Bring it on down here Herb and I will get it off for you. :D How long has it been since you washed it? Do you take it to one of those lazy worthless car washs or are you getting out there and washing it by hand? I would think a good chrome cleaner or polish should take it off.
