Post up your custom fuel pump/filtration setups....

Just change the pump, it is going bad. I went through this issue this summer. Ordered and installed a new Facet and my problem with the fuel light coming on is gone. My pump is mounted to and just above the frame rails. The old one still pumps fuel, just not enough. Good luck.

    94 turbo 7.3l e40d

It might be the turbo oil return line seal (olive). When it leaks, looks like the oil is coming from the back of the pan.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Nice truck. I love the colors.

    For you automatic guru's

The stamped one is N/A to E4OD, I'm almost certain. Look at the other side to see if there is a weight welded on. If not it is N/A. If it has a weight, it is from a turbo engine.

Nice looking truck. I think you will enjoy it.

Fuse/Relay box install for headlight relays

I've seen a framing square used for a lot of things, but that is a first. :) Looks great.

    Electric fuel pump

You guys are ignoring the fact that a pump listed at 9-11 pounds static (no fuel flow) only puts out 5-6 psi with the engine running (at idle). This is due to the bypass of the filter, use by the engine, bypass of the injection pump, and the bypass of the injectors.

    Electric fuel pump

http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?76503-Electric-Lift-Pumps-IP-and-Injection-Timing&p=901326#post901326 My pressure is about the same as the stock lift pump.

I used a ring terminal underneath the spade connector.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Would this help? It says it will break down algae so it will "pass harmlessly through filters and nozzles". Interesting claim anyway. http://www.dieselcraft.com/fuel_products.php?id=7

    4500 rpms in your IDI???

Free revving a 3 1/2 hp lawn mower engine is not a good Idea, and free revving a diesel is certainly a bad idea. We destroyed a race engine years ago when one of the mechanics wanted to make sure it would rev. Intake valve head made a mess when it broke off.

'93 IDIT and '94 IDIT use the same flex plate or flywheel.

    bought and engine now what

Shawn, look the second picture in your post. At about 4 o'clock, you will see a weight about 5" long, welded to the flex plate. This flex plate came off of a 7.3 IDIT (turbo) engine. The non-turbo flex plate does not have that weight. Hope this helps, JL

    bought and engine now what

Not different from an auto to a manual, but different from a 7.3 IDIT to a 7.3 N/A. I did lots of research on the 7.3 IDIT engine. It was only made for about a year, and then as an option engine. Trust me, I know, I have experience.:D I have had an E4OD out, changed the fiexplate, and put...

    bought and engine now what

For the 93-94 1/2 7.3 turbo, the balance is different from all the other engines. It is an externally balanced engine. You cannot interchange harmonic balancers. And, the flex plate or flywheel is unique to this engine also. Other flywheels and balancers will bolt up, but the engine will...
