    E4OD electric gremlins

Yes, TECA relay is in engine fuse box. Bottom right I believe but there should be a sticker on inside off fuse box with layout. And yes the TECA lives behind driver side kick panel.

When you replaced your VSS did you check your tone ring? I had a similar issue and my tone ring teeth had been damaged. Replaced that and it was all good.

Diagnosing OD Flashing when shifting to 3rd. Brake light circuit?

I do believe the brake controller was wired from the factory but I'll double check once I get back home. I installed the controller myself and the plug was already there. It's also an XLT so I believe that was included as part of the tow package. I could be wrong though. I'll check the...

Diagnosing OD Flashing when shifting to 3rd. Brake light circuit?

I haven't replaced the range selector but I'll add that to the list. I replaced the tach sensor today since I had one laying around and topped off the trans fluid as I noticed it was sitting a little low. Took it out for spin and it did great for like 15-20 minutes then went back into limp...

Diagnosing OD Flashing when shifting to 3rd. Brake light circuit?

In the last few days my 92 idi NA started going into limp mode when shifting into 3rd. It doesn't happen every time but it seems to eventually happen if I drive long enough. It also happened when shifting form 1st to 2nd and from 3rd to 4th but the vast majority has been when going into 3rd...

No brake lights but turn signals but hazards and override Trailer brake lights work

So I'm chasing down a gremlin in a 92 F250 7.3 idi on the day I'm supposed to be leaving for a 10 day trip. Any advice appreciated. Here's the situation. I got no brake lights but my turn signals work and the hazards work also. Additionally, if I apply the manual override brake for the...

Help with E4OD ECC and code questions

Now that aftermarket is sounding even more intriguing. If I can delete a common fail point and set my self up for a better tune once I go turbo that sounds like a win. Can you mount that in the engine compartment or do you need to fish it back into the cab? Getting that out behind the e brake...

Help with E4OD ECC and code questions

I was looking at those Baumann models and they seem like a great solution if I have to go that route. After reading about the issues some people have when switching ECC from other years or models it started to sound like another problem just waiting to happen. I do have a matching 350 donor...

Help with E4OD ECC and code questions

I felt the same way. It seemed odd that all of those would happen at once which is why I went to the ECC first in my mind. I don't want to cut corners though so I'll be testing my way down the line. It was also suggested to me that I should look at the TECA relay and harness. I read that the...

Help with E4OD ECC and code questions

Hello All, I've been combing this forum for years and I can't say how much it's helped to diagnose and fix issues on my truck. So first off, thanks to everyone here sharing knowledge on these old beasts. This is my first post because I have run into an issue that I'm not seeing a clear answer...
