    Traction bars

If you don't want to limit travel, the shackle style is what you'll need with leaf springs. https://www.samsoffroadllc.com/orders/components/traction-bars/sam-s-offroad-heavy-duty-traction-bar&filter_name=anti%20wrap%20bar

reverse shackle front, what to do in the rear?

Could try a set of these. From what I read they can be a bit noisy but actually help with handling. https://liquidironindustries.com/XJ-Jeep-Cherokee-Bolt-On-Leaf-Sliders.html

reverse shackle front, what to do in the rear?

If you use the sky mounts, some steel deg shims should bring caster back. I think the Sky kit looks to add caster too. If you make your own mounts, figure you could drop at least 2" off the height. 2" off the shackle then only a 1" front drop would be needed for stock caster. BUT if you made a...

reverse shackle front, what to do in the rear?

Depending on how much work you want to do, run the shackle thru the frame. This will allow for less drop in the front and less over all lift. The issue is a body mount where the hole needs to be. A little modification of the that body mount and some Ruff Stuff "Chevy" style rear thru the frame...

    gear ratio swap

Best gear calculator I've found. http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html No trans was mentioned so mpg gets a little fuzzy. With no OD, might loose a little on the hwy but gain some in town. With OD, might actually get better, the gears might put the Rpms in a sweeter powerband using less...

Only getting 3200 RPM Throttle Cable?

I had this same problem, seemed the throttle pedal was more of an on/off switch and always seemed that way since installing the IDIT. After turning the pump up 3.5-4 flats (OK bottoming the screw out) the truck actually drives much nicer. The pedal feels much better and as a side note, it gets...

    Limited slip/locker in a dually?

My preference is the Truetrac, gear driven limited slip. The locker is great but they are very harsh and can lock and unlock at inopportune times throwing the truck around, and in my opinion not needed for a street driven truck. Most limited slips, you'll never know are there and except the...

So what did you do with your truck today?

It's actually a buddies' trailer but was bought at a local trailer place called C&B trailer. The problem being the place went out of business. It's a 16' with 2' dovetail, 10K with brakes on both axle (WA law). He was trying to decided between this and a Big Tex and went with this because it's...

    offroading/mudding questions

I saw it mentioned above but, DON'T use hooks on tow straps: http://www.southernhighrollers.com/tips/articles/a_near_miss_from.htm As for driving, go do it, and find a gear that works for you. As mentioned above, LOW range is your friend. FYI, I did see you where in Canada but I'm sure...

    4WD SWAP?

The trans and transfer case should be mostly a bolt in. 88 should be a C-6, no computer, just weld a bar between the clutch and brake pedal. Swap the column and linkage, or add an aftermarket "slap" shifter. The cross member might need new holes drilled but maybe not, think it's only 4 -...

    Air bags on the front?

Careful with the removing springs, since there isn't many, the reason is you will get a bad case of spring wrap that leads to hopping in 4x4. Granted other things can be done to eliminate the wrap but more fab work to deal with.

    twin turbo idi

Bio-farmer(IIRC) had a homebrew version made from Homedepot plant misters but don't remember what the pump was.

Towed for the first time, learned some things.

Have you done the Exploder by-pass valve? This shuts the heater core off when not in use and take a serious load off the A/C.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Towed a Dodge with a bad trans. OK, it was a rebuilt trans but on the way for a system flush so the shop will warranty it. This was the first big pull I've done with it after adding an open exhaust and gauges. Last time was a '79 Rancho when it was N/A auto, much nicer now and hills aren't as...
