Uh, did everyone one forget the thread where a user who had stated that he infact did the exact same thing and mounted 7.3 heads to his 6.9 block??????? It can be done, look at the thread, there are even the BOOB required pics to prove that he did in fact do it and is running it.- Abull78

Building a 6.9 to kill
I've been side tracked by the boat. The pickle is still alive and kicking. I managed to get ahold of a solid front axle and leafs for the front and rear. I have gone through 2 IP's trying to get rid of the fuel venting. I did however score a sweet new skull shifter knob,...........it's green...- Abull78

Wiers sound when acelerating???
Check your air filer and CDR. I had a similar noise when I first got the truck. It was actually not a mechanical screeching noise but a whistle that was cause by the air being sucked through the CDR.- Abull78

Continuing difficulties in obtaining new injectors
I have several junkyards with cores available aswell. I also have 2 sets of cores, 1 set being a set of bb"s i ran for about 2 weeks.- Abull78

OK what am i doing wrong!
Autozone, Pepboys and almost all marine centers carry switch valves. They are much cheaper than a stock replacement and they seem to be great quality. It's not an injector.
Quick note guys, admittedly, I am not an expert on IDI's but, there is a common thing that reigns true on all diesels............they need to be timed right. The majority of you seem to have developed this noise after replacing injectors or IP. Well, you have basically removed an old component...- Abull78

i think its a timing issue, it should definitely pull harder as rpm increases until you hit the gov but, shouldn't be sluggish at mid rpm. if its picking up in power as the rpm increases, which is adding advance then i would suggest adding a tad more advance so that its coming inb earlier at a...- Abull78
