So I am looking to get SCA in my cooking system. Previous owner definitely didn't do this, Told me he used standard "green" coolant. I can buy 64 fl oz of SCA at my local NAPA for about 20$. According to the label that's enough to initially charge 16 gallons of coolant. I'd like to do this but how do I know if the "green" coolant in there is compatible with SCA? Are they all? Also, because my system is already full, do I just drain about 32 fl oz out the bottom and pour SCA in from the top? Option two is to buy 4 gallons of fleetguard concentrate at about 10$ each. Opinions?

Option 3 - Install a coolant filter and run a precharged filter.

drain the old stuff ,put some new pre mixed coolant for diesels in and put your DCA additive in as you are filling. not after. coolant filters are good but you can put one in at a later date.

out with the old and in with the new:Thumbs Up
