New to the IDI scene, I've owned powerstroke trucks, but I'd really like to get into an IDI! They remind me of the Flat-Head V8's... Tons of character and a very fierce group of enthusiasts. I've looked and looked with very little luck. I'm looking for something in a crew can configuration, one with most of the work already done. I am active military and my schedule and wife wouldn't allow me to take on another project! I would really like to get something that's already seen quite a bit of love. I don't mind doing some work but at the moment I have two Mustangs and a vintage Bronco in the works. Now that the sob story is finished, let the trucks roll in!

Well, probably outside your driving distance. But, got a nice 91 350 cc srw 4x4 zf5 truck for sale in central Ky. I need to get around to putting a for sale thread on here when I get back home.

The truck has been my back up for a few years, but I'm buying a new truck and hate to see this one sit. It needs a couple odds and ends and a paint job but it's a solid Texas truck with a lot of new parts. Just message me here or email @ [email protected] and I can get you some pics and a better description.

I don't see a rough looking truck there.I see a well kept and clean truck......in need of a paint job of course but look at the underside, interior and engine compartment. That's a nice truck.......Oh it's from Texas. That explains it.Man,if the price is right so you can take it in (or do it yourself) for a fresh coat of paint, that truck will probably last.....well,decades.She's clean and solid.Look past the fact she needs a paint job and you'll see a very nice truck there.

What would you like for te truck? Does it leak oil? How's the compression on each cylinder? Does the transmission leak? Do the axles leak at all? Thanks!

Ok punks! He's in Afghanistan and we had started a "conversation" via PM that turned to an email conversation. He then stated that he lost my email address and thus posted pictures here... If you have an issue don't click on the thread, problem solved! I mean in the end if you don't have a truck to sell me there's no reason to be here!

Someone's got their ******* in a *** LOL
Actually, some of us have and do read near EVERY post on this site........
And my comment was directed towards YOU, not his posting where he stated he lost your email.

Now to make you feel a little sheepish, you were already aware he wasn't near the truck, probably the only question he can honestly answer at this point is the price.
You can see for yourself the oil spots under it in the pictures, so it's not even a question of does it leak, it's a question of what is leaking.

Don't be an ass to people, and we won't make you out to be one.

You guys are incredible... I don't feel sheepish at all. Like I stated, "fierce following of enthusiasts!" That's why I like the idea of owning an IDI, but I do not need the input... I am a semi intelligent individual, if you've got a truck let me know! If you know of one, let me know! Otherwise observe from a distance and keep the peanut gallery to a dull roar! Thanks!

Wow. Dude, you need to stop with the "I am a semi intelligent individual" stuff, cause you sound completely ignorant.
Do you have a price in mind that you want to spend? are there specifics you are looking for?2wd or 4wd? lifted or not? Cosmetics on a truck are just that, COSMETICS. If the drivetrain is well taken care of, then youre WAY ahead of the game.
Calling people "PUNKS" will get you absolutely NOWHERE. Dont be a keyboard warrior...we are ALL here for the same reason.

Man, to me, that truck is very nice. My new aquistion is a 11/91 F350 dually 7.3 (IDI of course) and I am doing so much to it on a shoestring budget. Interior is rough, need a bench seat....well, best thing for me to do is post a few pics, but compared to that blue truck, mine looks like an abandoned vehicle. I like that blue truck. That one is very nice..but I am in love with this dually. I think I have already bonded with it. Lol
