Was it a deposit or a withdrawal?

Nice sound, but now I have a crick in my neck.

When you coasted towards that cross street I thought for a second third gear had gone missing

Sounds an awful lot like my 93... so I guess that's good.

Anyway, one question: At 3:43, on deceleration, you get that 'rattle'/'popping' on deceleration. I do too. Why? What causes this sound?
The first few times mine did it, I was concerned about it(something loose in the valve train?) but it seems to be more normal, especially with a straight-pipe exhaust.

I've also heard it on a few hot rod gas motors, probably for the same reason?

Any ideas on why a motor does this?

Secondly, I'm going to have to do this to mine and see if I'm smoking the same way you are on acceleration. I know that I /can/ make mine smoke off idle with too much throttle, but I've got a 'smoke puff limiter' to reduce that and (hopefully) prevent much of any smoke in normal driving.
Looking out my mirrors, I don't see any, except in very specific circumstances(namely flooring it up a hill till I get boost), but I'm not sure if it would be more visible with a gopro.

3:43, im down shifting into 2nd.
in my experience, its the "drone" of the exhaust.
any internal combustion engine will do this,
in the custom world we call it wrap.
cruising down a grade, with a old school 235, 2" exhaust, decelling...
brtttttttttttttttttt.
sounds quite amazing when you have a 6 or 7 strong convoy,
all doing this through the Caldecott tunnel!

im sure its not the best for your cylinder walls and pistons, but I beat mine like a red headed stepchild anyway.
it just the sound you make with no muffler and decelerating in gear.

I only really smoke when im not under boost, the 093 cleans it up pretty well

Looks like a mile to the side mirror from that angle.
