a friend of mine has a OBS f350 and once he retires he will be doing some traveling with the truck. well the bench seats are not up too high in the comfort department. what are my options for maybe captain's chars or like what was in the broncos. where can I get them, new or used?

Used.
I believe Bronco and crew cab fronts will work for a regular cab.
But extended cab are slightly different mount, but can be made to work if you swap the mount.

I think thats right. We'll see if someone corrects it.
I want some king ranch seats.

I bought a set of 2012 or 13 (cant remember for sure) seats out of a F150 to put in my truck. After riding in dad's they are pretty darn good.

For reference, my research has shown so far that it's usually Ex cab and Bronco that work together and reg cab /crew cab. The seats are all the same I think It's the brackets and the shape of the floor pan. Ext. cab and bronco are the ******* children as far as seats it seems. So you should be able to find an OBS 40/20/40 frame and install any of the seats of the era I think. Probably any seat you want with a little engineering. Those brackets pop up on ebay but they are not cheap.

EDIT: For reference, I don't think its a direct bolt in in my case.... almost positive actually. I think adapters will be required. Just wanted to add that.

87 Brick with 05 F150 front buckets bought from ebay. I used the original 87 seat mounting hardware. Easy install! If you're going from bench to bucket the inner mounting locations will require reinforcement. One of the best "upgrades" on this truck.

Thanks! Whitetail antler shed with burr turned up. Truck is used primarily for hunting fishing and camping.
