Apparently there's one company that sells some. Big $$$$.
Gary (icanfixall) knows the name.

Welcome to the forum...
Dieselcast Welding sells new or rebuilt heads for the 7.3. The new heads are a much better head because they are thicker in all the right places where the oem heads have been known to crack as you have. nothing wrong with the oem heads but the new heads built overseas are a better head.

Ive got some used turbo heads. pretty close to you.
The napa in woodburn does a great job.
And for that big trailer you need a torque c am.

Will turbo heads work on a n/a setup , I took mine to the mcminville napa they wanted $600 to rebuild the ones I have seems like alot, chs machine had remans on there site for $300 each but he said he doesn't have any made and wants 2-400 to reman mine, I would like to get it running before I buy a cam , but I have been researching them , the truck is new to me I bought it with it popping out the intake and chuffing from the exhaust thinking just broken valve springs or seats but it has turned out to be so much more , also head gasket was blown between 5 and 7

I can tear these down and freshen them up if you want. But work is kinda busy. dont buy from a website.
Turbo and na heads are the same except the exhaust valves, but it makes no difference, both work equally well.
These came off a runner. If I grind them and the surface is good you will be near 600 with head purchase, and I want your old ones. If they need surfacing, that would be extra.

Doing a rebuild on a 92 7.3 idi. Read some other posts about clearances when reconditioning a head, specifically when it needs surfacing. How concerned are you about the clearances?

Very. If they need surfacing the valves should be sunk an equal amount to maintain the spec. Within reason of course.

Thanks,I just got my block and heads back from the Napa shop in Camby and realized I have no idea how much they had to remove from either.I'm new to these motors so I am still getting educated.Came across some info of what and what not to do that scared the hell out me. I read some other threads and my heads seem to be within the factory specs. Not sure on the block. Have all new pistons, cam and bearings, and the heads have been totally reconditioned so I really dont want to have any clearance issues. I'm going to give them a buzz and see if they give me any info on the block. Hoping I dont have to go in and shave the pistons.
As far as some 7.3 heads, I will have heads available as soon as I swap out motors. Im probably a couple months out if interested. They are on an 89 IDI still in the truck and running so I feel like they are in good shape. Have 130,000 on motor.

The Machinist in Canby is a good man, he should be able to tell you how much is removed. I always stamped it on the head but some shops dont.

Thanks for the info. I found .006 stamped on the block, I'm assuming that how much they removed. Knowing that and with my heads within factory specs how does it look for any clearance issues?

Should be fine. the valve depth on the head is the critical dimension being the head is flat.

Here is the head min max thickness and the valve recession in the seats.
Head thickness is 4.795 to 4.805
Intake valve recession is 0.042 to 0.054
Exhaust valve recession is 0.051 to 0.063.
Only the exhaust valve seats are replaceable. The block milling is very small. Its also very hard to measure too. From the center of the crank shaft to the top of the block its 11.137 to 11.141. Sounds like too much was removed. The piston protrusion from the cylinder is max at 0.031 out of the top of the cylinder. If you mill the pistons the difference from the block decking then I would mill more. Then have ALL THE ROTATING parts balanced.
