the mail man finely brought me my motors "mini me", it is one big mother. this 3208 ip would have to be set down in the valley a 1/4 to 1/2 an inch to be centered for the gear and some sort of spacer cover made. the intake center will have to be cut back about 2 in to allow the ip fit, the sides are about fine

here is how I am going to be mounting the hx35's, I am going to do stub pipes to them but not for sure if I should do weld on or bolt on. If I do weld on I will move the pass one back a bit, and I will probably do SS 4" side pipes.

for $20 got me some f-sd front springs and also stumbled acrosed a drop center I got for another $10. over the weekend I started trying to rip it apart, I got as far as drop center in an leaf bracket rivits groung down. it aint easy getting it apart but good having access to some 10t stands. if your using a cordless grind that the batterys are shot go find something, dont keep cycling them trough the frezzer to cool them so they can go back on the charger. that cases you to run round in circules trying to get thing done, still need to get the brackets out and bushings replaced. the f-sd brackets sit the leafs foword about a inch

Well sorry that this project has been on the back burnner for so long, now for what has happened in the mean time. I got a project house with garage on a 1/4 acre that is a few hour journy out some years back. There was no way to get this ready quickly to make the run, so another project was need to be put on the table. The criteria need was a light weight, rwd, straight foward to work on car made before 96 that can be had for cheap. With that found a match being a 94 bmw 325i with a bad auto for $500. Parts to get this ready was a underdrive manual with used clutch/flywheel for $150, shortended drive shaft $150, clutch pedal $20, and clutch master with hose new ~$100. So ruffly $1000 upfront and was ready to make the weekly run without getting starded, the alternator did atempt so but got there. Got 3.46 rear gears $150, coil over kit used $200 and replacement pcm $100 shortly after I had it running. I have done some neglected maintenance while Iv had this and the clutch is now about due after 70k miles. Did also find some nice 17in wheels for it in the junkyard for $200 and around $450 for new tires I got early this year. The time is getting close that I need to let her go because I need a camper more than this car. So will need to get around to fixing the rust on the rocker so she is presentable to sell.

The year started out with a goal and that was to get this truck read to make the run, so K.I.S.S and durability are what is needed. The old front alxe has been sitting on that ground and have leary to touch it with a 10 foot pole since we last left off, it needed u-joint and probulay due for ball-joints. I feel would be chasing to keep alignment in order so parts dont where fast or chasing broken parts due ignoring alignment, do to the ark from the short arms. So first order was to stalk CL to find a solid axle for perferably less than $500. I did manage to get one person down to $700 from $800, not much of a drop with out hubs on a drw. Most I seem to find around where I am seem to have a lowest starting of $1500 for ones out this truck, so half that is not horrable. This kigpin axle was so rusted to looked like parts were becoming one, sorry no pic of it in its unmolested state. I found this fairly easy to strip down to get weight off and ready for partial rebuild.

Now with this modivation begging to be hug, I need to stop something before it becomes a problem like on other trucks I have/had. Rush, It need to get on somewhere and not eat my truck.-Flame Thr

So the summer started out expirmenting with ways to buffing it out and led to putting lipstick on this pig. The are areas that I could not get to well and will need to redo at a latter time with better tool. For the most part Im happy with the out come and the axle is finding its way to its new home.:Thumbs Up
