That's good to know, thanks for the clarification Warden, I thought I had read that it was a GVWR that determined the usage, must have been something else I looked up.

Actually, the rule is that any vehicle over 80 inches wide is required to have them. That's why all DRW pickups have clearance lights on the cab, along with red clearance lights in the back immediately under the tailgate...for that matter, the F-150 Raptor and GM C/K 1500's with Quadra-Steer have clearance lights as well. Cab-mounted clearance lights were optional on SRW pickups, for people who liked the look and for people towing wide trailers that might not have forward clearance lights (boat trailers, for example).

Nah...just don't wanna splice the wires for a plug so just swapping wiring harness. I just like cab lights...in my opinion even a bronco looks good with them.....

I know, I like them too. I put them on my '69 some years ago, that's when I originally researched cab lighting.

On my '85 I put a Lund moon-visor on it that had the lights built in. Don't seem to have a picture of that yet.

Show a pic of the lens, I've got some left over from my RV business that might fit, there yours free if I have them, some of the early style are no longer available.

I'll get you a pic later tonight when I'm out of class. From what I can see of yours, I have the same ones. They're Ford, the kind of blocky ones with the tan plastic baseplate.

Look at the underside of the roof panel. You should see a wire holding clip attached to the roof. Use this for your spacing. Worked on my '92 F-350.

My slide in camper smashed all my cab lights when I hit a set of railroad tracks a little to fast. Found a set at harbor freight for like $15.00 look fine to me and work as they should.
