Man I feel for you east coast guys. A truck with any amount of rust is a $500 truck here. I thought i overpaid for mine with no rust and only 59000 miles on it. I paid $3100+fees for it from a lot.

You guys in Michigan have some interesting rust. Had a young fella living down here for a while and wanted to go through his f250 befre moving back... good thng we did. If he'd have loaded that sucker down, he'd have wound up in a ditch. The spring hangers were rusted so bad that when we went to replace them, we TWISTED the two rear ones off by hand after pulling the front bolts and just broke them to make it easier to get to the rivit heads  it was a miracle he hadnt already gone down on the frame. Then to see the prices folks want for those things, Yeiks!

I know this is bumping a way old thread, but found it amusing! This truck linked is the one I bought. Have a thread going currently for it. Had a "hidden" turbo, which I found out via email, but didn't know about the gear vendors unit until I showed up!

Ironically I was searching for info on a/c (not working) on the truck, and it brought this thread up. Thought the Craig's list ad number looked familiar, So I checked my email archive and here we are!
