So over at buddy's place and checking out how the loading of the SC will go when we stop in tomorrow or next day to pick it up, had to move a car out of the way..no biggy...just stuck white rhino in 4Lo and drug it backwards and sideways!

So got done that and noticed a bumper...what's up with that...oh it fits our trucks you want it....sure;Sweet:D:sly

So off the back of truck and resting on ground is what we see here....

These two pics are the mounts...so it mounts to frame horn ends and the side of frame...hmmmm....interesting, exactly like I was going to setup..:D;Sweet

Nice! You have a winch waiting for this?

Take yer pick....

Ramsey 200L 8000lb PTO driven
Ramsey RE 8000lb WORM Drive, Electric which is on front of truck NOW...I'm thinking of sticking that electric on the rear...PTO on front...hard to say...

But ya..GOT winches!...

pto would go smoother on that back. more direct route for the shaft. front has a bunch of chit in the way.

Um NOPE...fuel tank and axle to deal with back there too....I'fn I go PTO, I'll try do a hydraulic setup for power in power out....Though 5 speeds forward and one reverse works nice too!

Hard to say, but I like idea of Front PTO myself!

Ya that's not happening....Deck as mentioned in deck thread...temporary!

Have plans...BIG BRONCO plans to be exact.

Later...cut a Bronco apart, attache the rear portion behind the super cab for a SUPER CAB Bronco, that means likely moving rear axle forward about 4" if my math is close...and relocating fuel tanks...but ya...it's what the plan is down the road...we'll see...who knows...they change from time to time...plans that is!

Thanks I like it n think it's an OK score too...
... I'm thinking of tossing OBS clip on Bronco for storage... ;) and then holding this up to the frame with jack and see if any mods need happen to fit that clip...that's what will go on the white rhino eventually when I do super cab swap...HOPE SOON...

then paint it Khaki too...truck has to match ya know!

Glad you like it. IMHO some things are better left in the scrap pile.

It's NOT pretty....IT"S PRETTY UGLY....JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT....chrome don't get me home...

So long as it's strong...and I can actually get my winch mounted I'm golden!

Ya till I get a tubing bender and some DOM toubing and 5/16 plate and 2x3x3/8 angle so I can fab a bumper of choice this will just have to do, it's at least a bumper compared to what is currently on the truckLOL

Ya not having a real winch sucks...especially when I have to accept suck pathetic substitutes like the one here...ON the truck.....or my other one!

Well dug this up cause been working on two bumpers at the same time....well back and forth.

I cut out the frame mounts I cannot use on the big ass front bumper in this thread, leaving the mounts I can use.

Those may be getting cut out too as I have some new material to fab with, 8" wide 3/8" plate and enough to make good solid frame mounts for two bumpers.

These shots are the bumper I had the PTO ramsey winch in that has the FUBARED main shaft, I'm gonna replace that when I can and in the mean time I'm getting this all ready and mounted on rear of truck.

So I cut off the grill guard that was on the bumper on the top of the bumper, here you can see the top side mostly cleaned up.

I then all the mounting hardware underneath for the bumper and winch as well.

This is the craptastic mounting stuff...LMAO All this is cut out and sitting here just to see for sake of what WAS!!

I cut the craptastic welds on the bends too and I'm prepping for welding them back together...the gap is thicker than I prefer I'll manage for sure! GOT STICK!

This is where the mounts attached and I've ground it all down and I'm ready to fab some new mounts

So I'll most likely take the 3/8 plate and bolt to frame then lay bumper one mark where to cut then cut slots through the bumper wings so I can have a portion of 3/8 plate pass through and make a D ring so I'm pulling from frame not a weld onto the outside of the bumper as so many D rings are done!

All in all I've got a lot of grinding and prep work done on this rear bumper. I'm installing some OVAL clear lensed RED LED lights which look nice. Pocket lights like on semi's and trailers. This shouldn't be too bad I'll throw some reflectors on the bumper too. and some Nice back ups!

Once I pull my current rear bumper off and begin fab, I'll add a 2" receiver under this new one so I can tow...I'll tie that back under the frame too to secure it nicely to my frame.

Should be an interesting project as it develops

thanks for looking, I'll be doing more to my big ass front too soon, I may ...May cut off the grill guard and refab it too. Who knows, I can always hold this rear up to front and have a look see right????

Thanks for looking

Al
