I made a set of 3.5" lift blocks for the rear of my truck. Worked fine for 70K plus miles. Used some 3"x3"x1/2" angle pieces we had. welded 2 pieces to make basically a 3"x3.5" piece of box tube. Put a locating hole and pin in them and I was in business. In retrospec I would have Just bought a set of 4" lift blocks from a 4x4 place like sky manufacturing. I did loose my bumpstops that hung off the side of the block.

Blocks under the front end of an F250 with TTB don't seem that bad. 2.5" seems a bit much though. You still have the pivot points to keep the front axle under the rig. Seems like you would mess up the alignment and eat tires though. Maybe helper spings or air bags if you need some small lift.

Hey Brad. Im confused. I have a 88 f250 7.3 dually. My springs dont seem to fit any of your descriptions. Im gathering parts for a shackle flip and reversal on all 4 corners. To increase suspension performance and ride comfort. Thanks for your input.

Well since there is no thing as aF250 dually, yours is obviously a conversion. And by the pics it looks like a F250 3" wide spring and 2" tall F150 blocks

has anyone found a way to retain the bumpstops when increasing the block size? I have a pair of springs for the front from a '99 that came with 4" blocks for the rear but no bumpstops.... any real damage not running them? obviously being carefull to not pin the axle to the frame....

Yeah. get factory blocks with the bump stops.

ReadyLift also makes lift blocks with the bump stop wing

I installed one inch custom blocks in the front of my 250, i used new bolts through the springs and block for the locating pin, ive had people tell me this is illegal, and they will fall off and what not, but ive had no problems, i dont understand how they will fall out when you still use the locating pin, and yes it messes up the alignment, and will eat tires!!!, anyone know where i can get one inch drop pivot brackets???

My 4" Burbank suspension lowered the stock pivot brackets by using some square tube with holes drilled in the right spots. You may be able to fabricate something similar.

Got My oem 4x4 f350 blocks today, got them cleaned and painted. Now I'm just waiting for the U bots, I do have a question, when I install this blocks what happens with the sway bar? Anything else I should be aware of?

for a f350 4x4? what length should it be? I'll be pulling mine to compare at the parts store but it doesn't hurt to know what I'm looking for.

Your truck has a swaybar? Mine doesn't have one front or rear and no mounting points for one either, handles just fine without it too.

Depending on options some had them some didn't, as far as I know the F350 4x4 models were not offered with sway bars, so you would need end links for a lifted F250.

Thanks, I'll search for some online then, I don't think the local store will have them or at least not able to identify what I'm looking for if it isn't from a year/model/engine size kind of search.

The 4x4 F350s did come optionally with sway bars - might make it easier to find the links by looking for one for that.
