Fuel filter nightmare

Attempted to change the 99's fuel filter today and it felt like the cap was glued on. It took me 45 minutes to get it off, but I wasn't about to let it beat me!

I ended up cutting out a piece of the outside ring and using a hammer and punch, to get the cap to start turning.

I'm not sure why it got that tight. I only tighten them enough, to get a good seal.

if at first you dont succeed hit it harder,if that dont work get a bigger hammer!

I got to use the new square steel punch, that I made at work.. It woeked like a charm!

After the oil filter catastrophe I had on the 94, I wasn't expecting a fuel filter to do the same thing. I always lube the gaskets...
