i saw this on tds
"new here, would appreciate any input. back in the early to mid 90's, the 7.3 direct injection navistar international T444E (truck form) motor was marinized for marine use by marine corporation of america (mca) and marketed as the (inboard) M444E stardec series / star powr (correct spelling on stardec/powr). there were three hp versions: 300/315/330 (all turboed)"

so how do they make such high power is it the mystery cam weve been looking for ?
anyone have one of these?

The E in T444E is electronic, it's a powerstroke. I've heard part of the reason marine engines can make so much power is that they typically have no cooling issues due to unlimited cooling water.

That is the answer rite there. there is no problem loosing heat + water cooled manifolds and water to air aftercoolers (if aplicable).

I think there may have been a marine version of the IDI? I cant say I have ever seen one.. I have never seen a marine powerstroke either though.

There have been a few posts on it here. I believe the engine spins the opposite direction, which means the IP and cam is different.

Its 1994-1996. So i don't think is an idi

do powerstrokes have precups in the heads and the same kind of injector pumps as us? just because it is a 94-96 marine motor doesn't meen it will correspond with the same year truck motor.
