Mine's a 1988 Chevy C3500. Clutch master or slave cylinder went out so I ended up buying my IDI truck to drive this winter until I get it fixed. 454, 4 sp., 2WD haulin' machine.

Here are all of the diesels that I've owned....the truck I have now is actually the only pickup truck I've owned...

1980 IH Scout II, with a Nissan SD-33T 198ci turbo inline-6, T-19, owned from April 1999 until October 2000. She had a cracked piston, and if it hadn't been for the rust particles holding hands, she would have fallen apart long ago.

1984 E-350, 6.9l, C6, owned her from October 2000 until July 2002. I still miss her...would still have her except for inheriting the truck. BTW, that's my truck behind the van...that's what she looked like shortly after I got her.

1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D, OM617 3.0l inline-5 turbo, 4 speed slushbox. Had her from July 2002 until I stupidly gave her to my ex-girlfriend in July 2006. Most reliable vehicle I've ever owned to date.

1979 Mercedes-Benz 300SD, another OM617 and 4 speed slusher...had her from March 2006 until March or so 2009. Tranny lost reverse in January 2008...she ended up getting parted out.

I'm currently using a gold '83 300D for a daily driver, but I don't have a good picture of her at the moment...

Justin, I looked forever to find a truck like that. I bought it from Rob Wick (69oiler) in June. I absolutely love it. I need to stud the heads and put the Banks turbo on it, and ZF5 it as well. I just don't like the C6.

I hear you on the C6, I have only seen one CC mid 80's style truck like that, a guy who lived down the street from me when I was growin up had one brand new, MAN oh man, I would ride my bike by that truck every day, imitating diesel sounds, getting weird looks from the neighbors. LOL

I would be happy to own a truck half as nice as that one!

MLSC- Front tires are 285/75R16's, rears are 245/75R16's. Truck had a wicked nose dive stance that drove me nuts. With the current tire setup it sits pretty much level. Eventually I'll put 235's and air helpers on the rear with some coil spacers on front.

1997 F350 Cab and Chassis 2wd. WAS a Powersmoke with an E4OD Ex coca cola truck that was hit on the front end. Needed a Rad, transmission and a Driveshaft when I bought it for $300.

I put the 1992 - 1997 front end on it, but decided to go with the older style 1987 - 1991 front end for looks!

I removed and sold the narrow 10.25" rearend and put the rearend out of my 1990 parts truck under it. Wide pickup version of the 10.25 with 4.10's and an open diff.

Out came the powersmoke which I traded for a 351 W 4V HO...which I just sold last month to fund the new motor install....see below.

I put the rust free hood, fenders, new gasser radiator support and cowling on in place of the '92 and up front end.

ANd FINALLY, this is the "new" motor. 1990 7.3 IDI with only 50k miles on it. The truck it called home was rusted to pieces and it was pulled. Needs an oil pan and a set of valve covers...but not bad.

I was to stick a set of 6.5 turbos on it. Intercool it and moose it, but it all costs money. I have a game plan, and a solid platform to work on.

I don't have an "other truck" at this time. I wish I did. I have a car, and a pic of my old 460 truck.
The car:

The old gasser, miss it quite a bit actually:

And the current IDI:
