I have an 89 Dodge cummins 4x4 with a 727.It works great and I am sure that if I ran a heated WMO tank and switched over when it was warm the truck would have no problems burning wmo.Although I did already break the injectors by single tanking it.However it has an automatic.I abhor automatics, I wish the person who designed the first automatic transmission should be shot if they are still alive.
On the other hand I have started looking at the old idi fords because the 94-98 rams are in the range of 8-11K.Way to much money.I have found two different ford idi trucks for the same price, 1500. ones an 83 and the other is an 86 both with 4x4, a manual, and dual tanks.although I think the 83 is a 4 speed while the 86 is a 5 speed.
So what would be better to burn the oil in?A trusty autotragic dodge or an old 6.9 ford with are known to run on anything.I do tow somewhat and I live in a hilly area.
My 89 also has some mods
HX35
Light pressure piston lift pump
limited slip rearend(I think its dead though)
ramcharger bucket seats
99 ram CD sterio
I dunno looking to run as much WMO as I can get away with..
