Daihutsu DM950DTH - twin tacks - how to make it scream

Im a concrete guy. Im looking to put twin stacks -10" each on a riding trowel machine we have....

Its an 8' ALLEN diesal running a Daihatsu DM950DTH 3 cylinder. Its probably 20 years old and rugged, but I love it and prefer it to these new super hydraulic cadilac machines they make.. for 85k anyway. So... i dont really know jack about upgrading a diesal...especially like this....can I or should I buy a bigger turbo? what else do I need to address? How do I enrich the fuel? it would be great if it sounded like a jet airplane and let me turn up fuel.

I have the stacks. I was just gonna have one of our guys weld up a header to put them on.

Then what? Will i need an intercooler?

Any help is appreciated greatly.

I have used a ride on power trowel as well. My only question is, why? And the only thing helpful that I have to say, is, unless you’re the owner, make sure the owner is cool with you ‘upgrading the equipment’. I know a handful of people who have been fired for that.

The stacks with no muffler will, er, enrich the sound (more than I’d like) and I think that’s the same engine used in the early 2000s diesel Kawasaki Mules. A friend of mine had one, turned up the fuel, and broke the crankshaft. Evidently that’s a weak point in the engine’s design. So long story short, I wouldn’t recommend that.

Edit: I have very little seat time with one of those, most who have done it are better than I, but, they’re tricky enough, I wouldn’t think more power would help, really…
