I'm so glad SOMEONE actually did some research. More often than not it's "what's the best chip for smoke"
Alright dammit! Where does the chip go and how come I'm the last one to the party???:***:

Well I prefer hickory, but mesquite isn't bad either. I don't care much for other flavors. I guess I'm not very fancy. Did that help to answer your question?More often than not it's "what's the best chip for smoke"
I missed out on using some plum from our tree before we moved away. But I agree hickory and mesquite are top of the list for me.Well I prefer hickory, but mesquite isn't bad either. I don't care much for other flavors. I guess I'm not very fancy. Did that help to answer your question?

Does 325 crank really require alot of supporting mods to achieve? Thats what, 275ish at the wheels?
From what I've read (and correct me if I'm wrong) I was under the impression a good turbo and a decent (larger) IP should do it. Would likely require studs, and an intercooler would definitely be recommended but not necessarily required depending on how you drive.
I figured the stock IP would be capable once tuned up according to typ4's instructions (was it typ4 or rus? I dont recall who made that sticky). Wasnt he able to get upwards of 130 out of a worn out stock IP?
I couldn't answer that, but Typ4 IS Russ.
I believe you may be confusing him with Wes who has done a few DB2 modification threads.
I'm about 40 minutes away from ya I assume. Never one to turn down smoked meats!Willing to bet I could coerce ya all with some of my oak smoked brisket. I usually throw in a couple logs of hickory early in the process, if I can find some to harvest that is.

I'll second this. It should be all you need to do to reach your goals. Although I would say that the intercooler is required. It may not be, but I feel that it is at this power level. From what I've read (and correct me if I'm wrong) I was under the impression a good turbo and a decent (larger) IP should do it. Very interesting thanks for the input .exactly the kind of thing I was looking for someone who has lots of experience and knowledge on them with feedback . Any estimate or guesstimate on a hp number? Also pump tuning/mods for your turbo setup?
I found an error in the paper work. It says "because a turbo system pumps more air and fuel into an engine". A turbo only puts more air into the engine, something else must change in order for more fuel to go through the same engine. Not that it affects anything, but it's just a little bit strange to me to see this coming out of a company that designs and sells (or sold) turbo kits.So I went to the file, and found the original paperwork for the turbo kit available from the early 80's.
