I may or may not of replaced that hose yet when I was first trying to get it air tight. I'll have to check to be sure.Ok, I just wanted to make sure that was still good.
I personally would replace the lift pump AND the short piece of rubber hose on it. I would also GENTLY blow out the feed line with some compressed air while you have it off.
I've had a similar issue when the showerhead broke up in my rear tank. It would run fine and then suck up a large piece of strainer and die. If I let it sit (or switched tanks) the piece would fall off the pickup and then it would be fine until it sucked it up again.
It's worked fine so far but is this too dirty?
I believe the pump is original with 140k on it so I am leary of it. But I'm getting pressurized fuel from the Schrader when it's running good and not when it's dieing. So thats why I suspect fuel delivery.I have seen this problem a few times when the injection pump decides to go to lunch. Take the cap off the top of the pump where the shut down solenoid is and look inside for some little black specs. If u find some it is time for an injection pump.

But the pieces of the shower head could be stuck in the selector valve or fuel lines.The issue persists running on either tank when full. So it's not a broken shower head.
