I will only have this truck for 24 hours. It belongs to a friend of mine, and I am hauling it to the scrapyard for him. There are still a few good parts left on the truck..... I learned last time I hauled one off that many guys needed stuff I scrapped, so I want to help out this time if I can...
I am needing the shock mount that bolts to the frame and attaches the top of the front shock to the truck for my '91 4wd F350.
Anyone know where I can find one? The local salvage yards don't have anything old enough to work.
Thanks,
Greg
Wow, what a difference. I'm glad I did it, but I'll never do this job again.
I'm no stranger to hard work and big projects, but this swap took the cake!
Thanks for the help here, I really do appreciate it.
Greg
Bought a 1993 F350 crew cab 4x4 w/e4od today. It is a donor for 4x4 stuff for my '95 crew cab.
So, as far as I can tell, this should be a pretty straightforward swap.
I know several folks have done this swap, are there any gotchas I can expect?
If the swap is a success, my '91 will go...
I am stealing all the 4x4 stuff off of my '91 to put onto my '95.
I want to keep the '95's E4OD.
Therefore, to reassemble the '91 with all the leftover 2wd stuff, I will need to convert the ZF from 4x4 to 2WD.
Is this something that can be done? I have access to a 2wd trans core, I was...
Guys, I need some help. I recently replaced the axle u-joints and the wheel bearings up front on my '91 F350 w/ Dana60.
Everything works awesome.
But, I noticed a little spot of gear lube the other day dripping off the steering knuckle.
Thinking it was residual from the work I had...
Had a hard line break at the injector pump end. I believe this was a metal fatigue issue which I may have had a hand in causing, because I left off the metal clamp that straps those 4 lines together over the intake manifold.
The result was loss of power and a major fuel leak.
Since we...
Both are about 1/4" left of center. I have checked the voltage at the battery (14.3) and have no reason to believe the oil pressure is really low since the needle does not move from the spot it's in cold or hot.
Is there an instrument cluster voltage regulator or something that can go bad...
Looking to lose the 4.10's in my F350. I already have a 3.55 LSD 10.25 rear axle, just need the front gearset now.
Prices I have found seem awful high for new sets.
Thanks,
Greg
Will lift blocks and u-bolts do the job OK?
I don't want to spend the $$$ or time on a shackle reversal or a new set of springs.
Thanks for any info,
Greg
My truck was missing its air box assembly. A replacement was going to be $$$.
Several folks here have fabbed up their own intake systems, using the ricer style air cleaner elements.
So, I did my own little deal today.
I realize this setup is not optimum from a cold air intake...
Well, I am going to be putting this thing back together after repairing the rear main seal oil leak...long story there....
Anyway, it looks like the crankshaft bolt holes go all the way through the flange and into the crankcase. Does this pose an oil leak hazard?
Does loctite seal the...
Took the trans and flywheel off to repair the oil leak at the back of the engine.
The flywheel looks fine, all the parts are there, etc. The clutch surface is free to move about 3/4" either way with very little resistance.
We took the clutch side of the flywheel off, and found no worn...
This is quite a nice site you all have here. I am glad to have been turned onto it.
We just picked up a 1991 F350 4x4 crew cab. It's a cool truck, with a 5 speed and ATS turbo add on.
I am looking forward to learning more about these IDI's (I have a 1995 Powerstroke, and am considering...
