My truck was missing its air box assembly. A replacement was going to be $$$.

Several folks here have fabbed up their own intake systems, using the ricer style air cleaner elements.

So, I did my own little deal today.

I realize this setup is not optimum from a cold air intake perspective, but it seems to be working just great! The best part is that I have the crankcase fumes going into the inlet, so no more choking and gagging at a stop.

Even better, I got to take the truck out for a decent test run with the air cleaner assembled. The ATS non gated turbo was whipping out 10 PSI, and the EGT's were in the 800 range.

Cool, and I really thank you guys again for all the advice.

Here's a little vid clip I took tonight, the picture is lame, but the engine sounds and turbo whistle are great! Hope you all like it.

Exhaust pipe is cheap, that's the main thing here....lol

It is 3" pipe.

I did turn up the injector pump, somewhere between 60 and 90 degrees. Let's say "75" degrees....

The truck runs GREAT. My Powerstroke is going up for sale, end of story.

The filter is some cheapy deal from the ricer aisle at O'reilly auto parts. It has a 3" rubber flange that worked great on the intake (exhaust) pipe.
