    Getting rid of the i.d.i

Thanks Hesutton, I have no idea what will replace this one. I look at owning an idi is like farming, it's always in your blood. The more we try to work it out of oursleves, the stronger the desire becomes.

    Getting rid of the i.d.i

No, I'm in Grand Rapids MN, it must have been somebody else that your thinking of. I'm sure in the future I'll be picking up an other one. I had fun with this one, but for now I'm going to concentrate on finishing up school, and finding a good job.

    Getting rid of the i.d.i

It's slowly getting up there, I have a reserve on it so I don't have to sell it for anything under that. Did you guys get snow in Florida this year? Ours is just about gone finally.

    Getting rid of the i.d.i

I shouldn't say getting rid of it, just moving on. It's been a good ride, I learned quite a bit about diesels that I had no idea of before. All thanks to you guys. I don't know if it's allowed on this forum, or if I should post something in marketplace. It's on ebay if anyones interested. 1988...

    Diesel Runaway Description:

I remember reading a post on here, or the other site, about a guy expirencing a runaway situation on his rig. He panicked and called 911. I could only imagine what was going through the operators mind when they received that call...

Wounded but still doing it's job.

I slipped my old one off with a little persuasion from a punch and 16 oz. hammer. The new one pretty much slipped right on with a few little taps. It was a lot easier then I thought it was going to be.

How Much Does Your Truck Weigh?

Mine is 7500 pounds with about 20 gallons of fuel in it. You'll see a difference between the 250's and 350's. The o.p is a 350 so I would think that it should be a little heavier. I'm not sure how much heavier my flat bed is compared to a factory one.

truck seems to have no power

I bought a pack of split shot sinkers that cost me $1.79. You did a lot better then I did, and mine fall off once and a while.

learned something new that might help some??

It's funny, I did the same thing to my truck a couple of weeks ago. I guess I should have posted it, then I would've been the hero.LOL It feels like I have twice the power. It would take me damn near a mile to get up to 60, I figured the i.p or the fuel pump was going out. Then I crimped a lead...

    lack of power

I don't think the o.p said anything about how heavy the trailer was that he was pulling. I tried looking up the weight of my wife's horse trailer online and couldn't find anything, it's a 3 horse slant load, with tack room. I'm to lazy to go out right now and look at the tag. Anyways, with one...
