ZF5 with parkin brake

Zf5 s 5-42 transmission out of a 1992 fsuperduty. Shifted good through all gears but would not always like to go into reverse. Truck had about 165000 miles on it when it got pulled apart. It will also be missing one inspection cover I am keeping the pto.

Parking brake assembly was bought new about 7000 miles ago at most. payed around $2000 just for that should have parted out truck when that went!!

FYI, that's the same as a 4x4 trans.
Just has the brake bolted on.

My dad is trying to recover some of the money he payed gor the parking brake. So this probably is a crazy number but its where he wanted to start.

your dad got screwed hard. a genuine ZF rebuilt parking brake is $900.
good luck with the sale.

I think he went to ford and got a new one. His was messef up beyond repair.

So realistically whats it worth?

IMO, just the trans itself, in great condition,(I'm talking near freshly rebuilt) I would maybe pay $700. But that's on the high end.

On the brake, I wouldn't buy one.
