Y pipe questions

I have a 90 c350 centurion 7.3 with the banks kit put on when it was built. My downpipe and y pipe are shot and need to be replaced. Do I have to get these from banks or are they avalible from somewhere else.

Since it is a Banks turbo, you will more than likely have to get the parts from them. Should still be available. My experience with them is they have pretty good customer service.

The DP, I would go with Banks on that but bear in mind they are salty.
If you have a reputable muffler shop you could have them turn up the y-pipes as I had to have some custome work done on mine but it works as good as Bank and didn't cost as much.

I must agree that dealing with Banks so far my take on the customer service has been good.

The y pipe I can buy for 81.00 bucks. Banks wants 360.00. Exactly how much fab work is needed on the Y pipe to make it work ?

Just need a good pipe bender and a slip joint added in to allow the 2 sides to drop into place.

The biggest feat we had to accomplish was the pipe angle coming off the turbo pedestal to get past the bellhousing on the trans. We did end up having to squish the pipe a bit to get the clearance needed.

After that it was a piece of cake, cause the guy that was doing the work knew his stuff and I was just there I think getting in his way.
