If the second engine is concidered best make sure it runs. By looking at the rust on top of the filter housing. I can tell you it probably has rain water in the engine. Just make sure the engine cranks over. Even then you may be purchasing a ruined engine.

Please ollk for me, I'm sorry I haven't gotten back sooner. I bought a 86 6.9 from my uncle and it has more problems than he told me. Thanks. I will have to ship the engine to fresno ca. Everyone around here thinks that 800 is standard price for a beat down 7.3.

Sadly the 6.9 IDI with <70,000 miles, out of a T-boned F250, that I knew of locally sold & for 550.oo OTD from a local salvage yard, with a warranty.
