The problem is wear in the advance piston bore. I have found that putting power to the cold advance solenoid (causing the piston to move to a different spot) most of the time will get one starting when having "heat soak" problems.Yup, This is definitely the problem. I had multiple chances this last weekend to test the theory. Colder the water the quicker she'd fire up. Does anyone know what the actual failure is? I'm assuming I need to replace the IP?
