wiring question

Hi, I'm a new person I have a question about My 88 E-350 with the ambulance prep package. the passenger side rear door has 2 red 14gauge wire that end in a 2 prong female plug.both doors have 2 contacts that meet two contacts on the door frames.anybody know? a good guess would be ok also.

Does it have electric door locks?

Could it be for "door ajar lite"?

Hi, thanks for the response. ifound out the contacts on the rear doors(two on each side) are called "button contacts". I will try to get pictures up tommorow.Thanks for everybodys help.

hi, I forgot to tell you that my van does have power windows and locks,but the rear windows on this van do not open.
