Winch bumper

I really would like to equip my truck with the badlands 12k winch at harbor freight. Will this winch bumper fit my truck? I have no experience with something like this. Is this the route I should take or does someone see an other option?

with enough filler rod grinding discs torch and metal it'll Fit just fine.

based on angles of side plates on top it looks more like obs style....but who knkws....

Can you tell me why it would bend and twist. Or do you have any alternative ideas that would be more sturdy?

my "winch bumper" was mostly 1/8" and the brackets were 5/16 plate to the bumper. I sold it,
12k # can produce a lot of torque.
but I wouldn't want 4 or even 6 bolts, even grade 8 to trust pulling my rig out of a rut.

I mounted my winch to the frame when I did my custom bumper.
I tend to overkill a lot of situations.

my winch bolts to a 1/2" plate, that's welded and gusseted to a front crossmember I installed on my truck for a reverse shackle kit.
heavy fabrication required.

I bought that winch. the cable was garbage. first time I used it I found it wasn't flexible enough to coil correctly back onto the spool. While retracting it, the cable bound up and mangled itself. keep the winch fully protected from water or it will be junk soon.

Cable is about 25 feet to long on them. And my 12k badlands was been abused and dunked many times, never hosed it out and never had a problem

Definitely too long and has to be spooled back on just right or starts rubbing. I quit freeing the drum to spool out and just reverse while keeping tension...I don't use it for four wheelin tho, just to load cars so I don't have to pull much out.
