not sure about the thread fitting... but I know I do not see a gauge so you would not be able to see what the pop pressure is. I do know that some of those hand hydraulic pumps are capable of producing some pretty serious pressures so I would say it is within the realm of possibility.

I was looking at one of those for building mine, It should work if you ad a pressure gauge and the corect fitting to attach it to an injector.

That is a porta power pump with some home made reservoir thingy, thats a technical term ya know!! The hose fitting looks like a porta power disconnect. I would pass.
