What to buy and how much??

Im looking for a work/play truck. I think that the 12 valve would be the easiest to modify. My question is how much hould I expect to pay and how many miles are too many???? Thanks for any and all help!!!

Price, I couldn't tell ya, but miles, I wouldn't worry about anything under 200K. Besides, its all fixable one way or another.

You can find 2wd single cabs all day at the wholesale auction for $3500 and 4wd single cabs for $5500. Mileage varies from 175K-275K.

My dilemma at the moment is 2 or 4wd.

Fair retail varies from $5-10K depending on condition and mileage.
